Only Ancalagon and Gaerdaer resisted, as their abilities with their swords was clearly superior. Berenor also got hit by an axe from a defender and got out with a bit of an injury in his right leg. Another Mauler hit Areiniel in her torso and despite the armour resisting, Areiniel couldn't breath and she was taken out of the battle.
Elrond managed to kill the Orc, but soon an arrow from nowhere hit him in the hand and pierced the handling in his elbow. Elrond got unscathed, but his helmet broke. A Mauler, though, managed to strike Elrond in the head with his heavy greataxe. One spear got through the Elven lines straight for Elrond's head, but his helmet resisted.
